Reporting to the Director of Clark University's Center for Counseling and Personal Growth (CPG), the Assistant Director of Outreach Programming/Neurodiversity Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, organizing and conducting outreach programming to the student body, faculty and staff as well as providing psycho-educational training and clinical supervision to graduate trainees. This individual will provide direct clinical mental health counseling services to enrolled students in both undergraduate and graduate schools, including: individual and group counseling; case management; crisis intervention; and on-call duties with the other professional counseling staff on a rotating basis.
The Assistant Director of Outreach Programming/Neurodiversity Specialist will be responsible for creating outreach programs, workshops, staff trainings for counseling center colleagues and therapy groups in support of neurodiverse students. The clinician in this position will serve as the consultant for campus partners related to issues regarding neurodiversity.
The successful candidate should be self-motivated and will have a demonstrated understanding of the developmental issues of college students. Expertise in working with neurodiverse clients is essential. Experience providing counseling services to diverse populations including students of color, international students, and LGBTQ students is highly desirable. A strong demonstrated commitment to diversity and multicultural competency is expected.
