Schedule: Day Shift MondayFriday (73 84 or 95) with every other weekend and alternating holidays Position Summary

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Department of our healthcare organization. Reporting to the Director or Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services the Registered Pharmacist plays a vital role in providing pharmaceutical services to patients in collaboration with the healthcare team. This position ensures the safe and effective use of medications by reviewing prescriptions monitoring patient medication profiles and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism leadership and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders against patient profiles to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with nurses physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver optimal pharmaceutical care.
• Provide oversight and direction to Pharmacy Assistants and Transporters.
• Actively participate in performance improvement (PI) and risk management programs.
• Maintain current knowledge of infection control medication safety and patient education practices.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies including infection control and universal precautions.
• Maintain professional competency through continuing education and active licensure.
• Demonstrate strong organizational and decisionmaking skills in daily operations.
• Contribute to costcontainment efforts and efficient resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy (BS).
• Current state Pharmacist registration and licensure.
• Completion of hospital and departmental orientation programs as per organizational policies.

• Ability to sit stand or ambulate for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects (30 lbs).
• Fine motor skills for handling pharmaceutical instruments and computer systems.
• Ability to concentrate on detailed tasks with frequent interruptions.
