Senior GCP DevOps Engineer Description

We are seeking a Senior GCP DevOps Expert who is capable of reading existing scripts written in PHP and Ansible, replacing these scripts with Terraform files, migrating data, and maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting instances in GCP with a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach.

Responsibilities

Migrate existing PHP and Ansible scripts to Terraform
Maintain and monitor GCP instances
Troubleshoot issues within the GCP environment
Implement SRE practices including on-call rotation duties
Collaborate with global teams to support and enhance infrastructure
Optimize deployment and configuration processes
Participate in the lifecycle management of applications hosted on GCP
Aid in feature request implementations and bug fixes to improve developer experience
Ensure fast and reliable service delivery on top of GCP infrastructure
Facilitate the reduction of engineering effort through automation and infrastructure as code

Requirements

Knowledge of DevOps methodology with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Background in Google Cloud Platform, MySQL, Terraform
Proficiency in MySQL administration
Skills in SRE practices including incident management and on-call support
Flexibility to work with diverse teams and manage multiple projects
Capability to implement cloud infrastructure optimally for application and service development
Understanding of the entire software development lifecycle
Competency in provisioning, deploying and configuring updates within cloud environments
Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level

Nice to have

Familiarity with AWS IAM, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service
Qualifications in Ansible and PHP scripting
Showcase of troubleshooting and tracing in distributed systems
Expertise in Git
