Purpose We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Treatment Operator to join our team in Rio Rico, AZ. In this role, you will be pivotal in operating and maintaining our water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with high standards and regulatory requirements.   • Operate, monitor, and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, chemical feeders, and telemetry systems
  • Conduct regular water and wastewater quality tests, analyze results, and adjust treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on treatment facilities and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate records of operational data, maintenance activities, and water quality test results
  • Conduct daily inspections of treatment facilities and equipment, adjusting operations for optimal flow and stability
  • Detect and communicate mechanical or process deficiencies to the supervisor
  • Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadershipEducation and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Experience working in the water utility industry, plumbing industry, or similar mechanical experience
  • Hold or willingness to obtain an ADEQ Grade 1 Water or Wastewater Treatment license
  • Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows operations knowledge, and experience with communication devices
